Review : The Goddess' Choice ( Kronicles of Korthlundia #1 )

The Goddess's Choice
Author:
 Jamie Marchant

Publication date:April 18th 2012
Publisher: Reliquary Press
Genre: YA Fantasy
Purchase from: AmazonB&N

The crown princess Samantha fears she’s mad; no one but she sees colors glowing around people. The peasant Robrek Angusstamm believes he’s a demon; animals speak to him, and his healing powers far outstrip those of his village’s priests. Despite their fears, their combined powers make them the goddess’s choice to rule the kingdom of Korthlundia.
Samantha's ability enables her to discern a person's character through their multi-colored aura, and Robrek's makes him the strongest healer the kingdom has seen in centuries.

But their gifts also endanger their lives. Royals scheme to usurp the throne by marrying or killing Samantha, and priests plot to burn Robrek at the stake. Robrek escapes the priests only to be captured by Samantha's arch-enemy, Duke Argblutal; Argblutal intends to force the princess to marry him by exploiting Robrek's powers. To save their own lives and stop the realm from sinking into civil war, Robrek and Samantha must consolidate their powers and unite the people behind them.

Received from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Jamie Marchant. You are fabulous.

I love the fantasy genre, so when I received this one I certainly was excited what with that synopsis and that gorgeous cover. But I was pleasantly surprised as to how good this book was and how well the fairy-tale was integrated into it.

The Goddess' Choice is based on a Norwegian Fairytale, 'The Princess and The Glass Hill'. I'd never heard of it before so I took to the internet to find out more about it. Jamie Marchant mentions that the girl in the following fairy-tale is mentioned as nothing more than a prize handed off to the knight than manages to climb the Glass Hill and collect all the golden apples.

Boy did she make Samantha a lot more than that.
Samantha is a strong character from the get-go. I didn't like her very much in the beginning really. She didn't really seem to be really as good a princess as she really is. But she does make you root for her. Robrek is equally as strong as Samantha and though they both made me feel like punching their faces in I just couldn't help but root for them as I knew why they did behave the way they did. The things they went through. Gosh Robrek really does go through a lot.

If Robrek was at Hogwarts, he'd be a Gryffindor. Horribly brave and a whole lot of ego problems ;) .

This story has only the basics of The Princess and The Glass Hill. The rest is all her own. And the sheer brilliance of it!! The story line has it all a despicable villian Argbutal, romantic angst and drama, a few 18+ scenes.

Loved the characters, each of them had a well defined personality, even down to the those magical horses. If you like fantasy and sorcery this one is for you. Looking forward to the next book from Marchant.

I even had the pleasure of asking this great writer a few questions. Do head over to my Interview with Jamie Marchant to find out more about her book, what she's writing and herself.

Book Blurb

Chantal Breelan is a ward of the state, living under the care of a woman who is cold and heartless. Her past is a mystery, and her future is even more uncertain. She can’t recall why she had been taken from her parents and so she’s left with nothing but an empty hole where her childhood should have been. When she awakens from her nightmares, she’s left with terrible, violent images, as well as a boy whose face is oddly familiar, yet can’t be placed.

Scared and alone, Chantal begins to confide in an imaginary friend – a shadow in the shape of a man who stands in the corner of her room. She is comforted when she believes he listens to her.
On her eighteenth birthday, Chantal is forced to leave her foster home. She moves to New York City, but the start of her new life doesn’t begin as smoothly as she’d hoped. In this environment, she faces a whole new set of challenges.

One night at a subway station, Chantal meets a young boy who runs away from her, and she’s compelled to follow him down into the tunnels. But this Rabbit Hole reveals a world where reality is a nightmare. Her dreams are clues to her future, and her life becomes twisted and dangerous when she learns that things that go bump in the night are not just in fairy tales and childhood stories.

Let's have a
Sneak Peek!

Excerpt

She had to be crazy to venture down here, she thought, chastising herself for the umpteenth time. What if a train came barreling down the tracks?
If nothing else, he needed help. If he happened to be homeless, maybe she could take him to a local shelter. He’d probably run from the system before she knew quite a few kids who’d done the same thing but she couldn’t leave him alone here.
“You know, you shouldn’t be down here. You could get hurt.”
A squeak of a passing rat sent her scurrying deeper into the tunnel, her eyes wide as she searched the surrounding area for any more of the offending creatures.
“Disgusting,” she said, her nose scrunching up. She’d always hated rats.
“Look, I’m going to call the cops if you don’t come out of here. This is ridiculous. You’re going to get hurt!”
A soft laughter could be heard from farther in. Frustrated, she glared toward the sound.
“I’m not going down there,” she said toward the sound. “It’s dark, and I can’t see a damn thing!”
“You’re swearing again,” the boy said, his voice full of humor.
“Hey, I promise I won’t call CPS. Just come out here, and I’ll buy you something to eat.”
“I’m not hungry,” the boy said, behind her all of a sudden. Chantal whirled around, and the boy smiled up at her with an innocent expression.
“What are you doing?” she asked.
“Hiding,” he said with a shrug.
“Hiding? From who?”
“You know, you shouldn’t have followed,” he said, ignoring her question.
“I couldn’t walk away knowing that you were down here.” She gestured to their surroundings.
“It isn’t safe,” he stated bluntly, his shadowed eyes fixed on her, unmoving.
“Really?” Chantal said with a note of sarcasm.
“Come on, I’ll buy you a milkshake,” she said as she headed toward the direction of the platform, hoping the boy would follow her. When she didn’t hear him move, she turned to level him with a disapproving glare.
“No.” The boy’s firm tone made her pause. She faced him, seeing how he watched her with a stone posture, his resolve unbreakable. It made her wonder what he must have been through to make him act this way. She
knelt down so she could speak on his level.
“Hey, I promised I wouldn’t call anyone, and I meant that. I just want to make sure you have some food in your stomach, that’s all. You can trust me. My name’s Chantal. What’s yours?”
A hint of curiosity, bordering on mischief, lit his face.
“I’m called Damon,” he said. The way he said the name sent a spark of a remembered fear through her mind. His young, innocent voice had morphed into something new, carrying a deeper timber again. It changed him from a lost little soul to a sinister, mysterious stranger. Chantal paused for a moment, wary. That odd sense of déjà vu chilled her to the core, sending goose bumps along her arms and neck.
“Damon,” she said in a soft whisper as her heart rate picked up, and the boy laughed, seeming to be aware of her unease.
“What’s wrong, sweet girl?” he said, and the way he sneered the term of endearment brought up an old, painful memory: a man stood above her as she crouched in her closet, terrified. She could see in her mind’s eye sharp teeth glinting in the moonlight, red eyes glaring, a man’s face hidden in shadow. It wasn’t her werewolf that watched over her when she slept, leaving her feeling a sense of comfort or safety. In this sudden memory, the man’s menacing canines were terrifying, and he had appeared long before the wolf came to protect her.
“Who are you?” she said, stark terror clogging her windpipe, her throat feeling cold as ice.
“I’m sad you don’t remember me. I guess I didn’t make a memorable impression,” he said in his deep voice. He took a step back into the shadows, but not before he flashed a wicked grin. Unable to make her feet
move, she seemed frozen by confusion and fear.
“Help,” she cried, but it came out soft and inadequate just like the many times she’d awakened in the middle of the night, trembling from a hideous nightmare. Her pathetic attempt made the monster laugh all the harder.
A threatening growl rumbled from where the horrible boy disappeared, sending her searching for the source. The sound of scratching and tearing echoed off the stone walls. She heard a strangled cry of pain in the distance.
A dead silence followed, leaving her wondering why the hell she hadn’t taken off running yet.
“H-hello?” she said, her voice weak and timid, and she took a step backward, her shoe scraping across the loose gravel. It startled her, making her stop. A deep growl echoed from the darkness, and she backed away in earnest. Her head was screaming, run girl . . . danger, scary dude . . . growling! Her body barely able to move the few steps back due to fear and frank curiosity.
Out of the shadows, stepped a creature she’d only heard of in horror stories described as a hellhound. It was the size of a large horse but shaped more like a rabid dog, sharp teeth hanging from a gaping mouth. Smoke came from his huge nostrils as he breathed, his fangs dripping streams of nasty black liquid.
Holy God . . .
She took an unsteady step backward and then another, her mind catching up belatedly with her panicking, uncooperative body. The creature followed her retreat, eyes fixed on his captive. Snarling in anticipation, the thing opened its horrendous mouth and bared its enormous teeth.
Chantal screamed just as the beast leapt to attack, and then her unsteady legs gave out, sending her stumbling to the ground. She covered her head and neck in a vain attempt to protect herself, waiting to feel the bonewrenching pain that was sure to come at any moment.
The attack didn’t happen.
She flinched when she heard a loud bang echoing as if something big hit the brick tunnel hard. She heard the thing growl followed by the sound of scraping metal.
“Go!” a male voice said, and she lifted her arms to see a figure encased in odd wisps of shadow crouching in front of the beast, standing as her guard.
“Go!” he yelled again, turning with a fierce gaze, and when she saw his beautiful blue eyes, she gasped. She knew him, but didn’t know from where.
His features were somehow not completely solid, surrounded by a heavy fog. An odd sense of warmth enveloped her, the earlier panic completely forgotten. She was lost in him—time frozen—as he looked through her.
A terrifying war cry grabbed their attention, and her defender turned back to his enemy, ready to take him on to give her a chance to escape. Chantal stumbled to her feet. She turned and raced away from the battle, heading toward the direction she’d come, the faint hint of train tracks along the ground helping to guide her.
Forgetting the possibility that the train could round the bend at any second or even the reason she’d followed a young boy in the tunnel to begin with, her mind had one purpose: Get out of danger.
She ignored the strange looks from the truant station attendant as she ,climbed onto the platform. Without a single acknowledgment of his hollered questions and threats of police involvement, she sprinted up the stairs toward the street.
As she ran, her mind went into sensory overload, reevaluating everything from her sanity to whether she’d been asleep this entire time. A boy who turned into a rabid beast? She was going mad, but it had all seemed so real.
Who was the dark stranger and where had he come from? Why did he seem so familiar to her, and why did she feel safe once he’d appeared?
Chantal tried to convince herself that she was dreaming, but when she rounded the corner that lead into her apartment complex, she knew the she wasn’t.
Monica approaching their building as well only confirmed what just happened was real.
“Hey, sweets! How did the interview . . . are you all right?” Chantal watched as her friend’s face morphed to abject horror.
“I-I don’t feel good,” Chantal said, shaking.
“Let’s get you inside,” Monica said, ushering up the stairs toward her apartment door.
Chantal let her mind go as her friend helped her inside and pulled her purse from her frozen arm, but she didn’t have the conscious effort to do anything to help. She stared straight ahead blankly, seeing nothing but the gruesome red eyes of the beast, and then the calming of her savior’s gentle gaze.
She heard Monica saying something, but she couldn’t make it out. Her thoughts were consumed with more pressing, life-altering events. Then her answering machine came on. Monica had probably been trying to tell her that the phone was ringing.
“Uh, Chantal, this is Tony,” the manager of the diner said, sounding very timid. “I’m sorry about earlier. You ran out of here before I could explain. I meant no offense, honest. I was testing your ability to take care of yourself, that’s all. New York is a dangerous place. You never know what may blow through the doors.”

When I initially saw the cover and the title, I believed this to be a contemporary novel and upon reading the vague synopsis seeming to hint at fantasy but don't really find that even during the beginning the book. And as soon as you hit the fantastical fantasy aspect, things took a turn for such awesome-ness. Let me stop being vague myself and get on with it!

Chantal Breelan is a ward of the state, an orphan treated badly by her foster parent and in addition is plagued by terrifying nightmares. As a result she creates an imaginary friend out of the shadows, named Nick, confiding in him about her horrible nightmares.

Soon after being kicked out of her Foster home on her 18th birthday Chantal and moves to NY city where she starts seeing shadows that seem to be after her life.
Now here's where I'm thinking this girl's psychological  problems have finally gotten to her and she's falling apart. Oh boy........

So when she comes back to her apartment to find the dark evil shadows closing in, who should come out to save her but the warrior Nick himself. Now here's where everything gets going!

Nick who's real name is Mathias, is a warrior, the son of a fallen angel who breaks away from the evil one. He is her protector from creatures lurking in the dark. Chantal soon finds out that all she has known to be true has never been so, while as her nightmares are. Phew.

That's hard for me to grasp myself, imagine being the character!

Mathias was not mentioned in the synopsis, well a lot w
asn't, but not knowing helped me enjoy the story in a different manner. Discovering things about Chantal as she and Mathias discovered it themselves.

The main characters are great and so are a few of the others.
Chantal maybe confused and afraid yet is strong-willed and determined to find out everything she can and help the warriors as much. Mathias is just great. Caring, affectionate, protective. Perfect boyfriend material I say.
I really liked Damon too, one of the warriors working for the Evil one, after Chantal's life.

The romance between Mathias and Chantal was meh. Nothing special but it certainly didn't turn me off so there's hope yet! Looking forward to it actually.

I'll tell you this. This book is worth picking up. Allie Jean gives us a different read with lots of twists and turns that just keep you turning the pages and wide eyed at the developments. I loved this one! Especially the vivid nightmares. Like wow! Hats off to your imagination.

Nothing left to say other than, looking forward to the next one in the series!

I certainly was pretty excited with the prospect of reading this book and was expecting an ordinary story set in Victorian England with a little steampunk involved. What I got was a fantstic adventure with fanatical elements and the fae. That's right, the FAE!

It should obviously have crossed my mind that some form of magic would be involved when the girl falls from the tree and Gareth, the main character rescues her, after all he did freaking FLY! It did cross my mind but I chose not to ponder over it, and chose to be dimwitted and discovered it while going through the story which provided pleasure all the same. Perhaps I should use this tactic for every book I read? ;)

Armored Heart starts off in 1894, with twelve year old crippled boy who discovers he can fly when he saves a young girl falling off a tree. Years pass and Gareth is still the same, closed off never mingling with people and despising himself for his condition, his ability to fly being the silver lining. Tabitha, his aunt by relation, is the only one who knows the secret and looks out for him.

Soon Jessamine, Tabitha's friend from America comes to stay and is drawn to Gareth. Gareth wants to keep her away and wants to keep himself closed off from her too, thinking she only wants to be with him for his money.

Watching the two of them getting to know each other and interact was so pleasurable! Jessamine is stubborn and doesn't back down easily constantly trying to get Gareth walls to fall. The love that develops between them was lovely to read.

On the whole a fast read that might take a little time to get into. But it really does get interesting further on. the first book in a series, I'm anxious to see where this heads and hoping to see where the steampunk and paranormal elements from this collaboration of two authors goes forward.

There were obviously some low points like when Tabitha is rescued, which seemed too simple, being one of them. but which book doesn't have them.

I'd probably rate this a 3.5 but there was just something that clicked with me be it the characters and the possible relation to the fae. So here's where I give it that half a quill more.

Let's have a
Sneak Peek!

Excerpt

“And where should we put her, Nalick?” one of them asked. Leila was surprised to hear the man address Nalick so casually.

“Leave her here,” he ordered.

“But, but . . .” the tracker sputtered. “If you just put my captive back in jail she will escape.”

“Don’t worry. She will not be going anywhere. She is not the ghost courier,” Nalick replied as Kay was escorted out of the room.

“Now, I’d like to be left alone with this one,” Nalick said, referring to Leila.

“Bring the seer,” he ordered. The men beside him rose and left the room. One of the men from earlier escorted the tracker out. The second man shut the door and stood at the back of the room.

“So everyone out did not include him?” Leila asked. She had no chance of leaving if both men stayed in the room with Nalick and her. One, she could possibly overpower, but two would be foolish to challenge.

Nalick rose and walked over to her. Leila stood her ground and did not move. Nalick circled around her, inspecting her like a wolf getting ready to pounce on its prey. Leila knew what was coming next. She had this same encounter with five other kings before. Though, in her opinion, they were all lesser men than the man in front of her. She still did not happily anticipate the next words out of his mouth. Leila stood in silence as he returned to his table and leaned against the tabletop. Just like all the other kings, he looked at her like she was a trophy. Leila refused to be a trophy to any king. Like any man in power, Nalick had committed acts against innocent people. Intentionally or not, Leila did not approve of hurting innocent people. She had been in several battles over the last four years, and luckily escaped with her life each time, but never once had she killed anyone who attacked her. Even those who would try to kill her did not deserve to die in her opinion.

As she stood there, the door in the back of the room opened and the seer, Gabor, walked in escorted by the man who had just left. Leila stared blankly at Nalick, trying her best to read his expression.

“I really don’t think you understand the word alone,” she commented to Nalick sarcastically, as the door shut and there were now five people in the room.

Gabor walked past her and bowed his head slightly to the king. Nalick nodded his head, and Gabor returned to Leila. Extending his hand, Leila knew what he was planning to do. Trying to stay in control of the situation, Leila gave the old man her hand. Surprised, he stopped, held her hand, and closed his eyes. After a few moments, Gabor returned to the king’s side. Nalick leaned over to the seer and asked him a question too quiet for Leila to hear.

“You don’t need to be hushed about this since you are discussing me,” Leila said before Gabor could respond. Nalick looked up at her. “I am guessing I can answer your questions just as well as he could.”

Nalick smiled. He had become the king when he was fourteen and then everything changed. Almost every person treated him differently, apart from his two good friends that were standing in the room with him now. In his years of being king, Nalick had yet to find a woman that would speak her mind to, or at, him. Here before him stood the woman who was a legend around the dinner tables he shared with neighboring kings. All told of encountering a lady so beautiful she would take your breath away and yet who was so cunning none could cage her long enough to make her into a wife. She was truly everything they talked about, and even more. Nalick didn’t need the seer’s opinion to know that this was the woman he wanted to marry.

Okay, let's get straight to it.

Kristin McMichael is an author to look out for. There I said it. *Yay indie authors!*

I'm not saying this book is the best out there, but is it the worst. It's got sooo much promise! Action, adventure, romance, humour its all there.

I thoroughly enjoyed this one I'll tell you that. The story of the courier and her encounter with Nalick, her skills as a courier were very well described. This is really good for a first (or second, I'm not sure if this is her first or not..) book and isn't that cover really interesting as well? I was captivate at the beginning itself which is important sometimes but can also mean that the story has potential to go downhill from there. This didn't go downhill so to say, it was more like heartbeats, there were high's and a few low's.

I enjoyed the character's Nalick, Leila, Antonio and even his two buddies. Leila is stubborn and won't change her mind very easily when she's set her mind to it. Nalick is said to be arrogant, and just like the other big bad kings he just wants to have Leila as a prize, a mere possession. So why is it that Leila accepts getting  married to him? And fairly easily at that. She's supposedly supposed to accept a wee bit grudgingly, but soon realizes that he is gentle and caring at heart.

Nalick changes a little too, but that was expected as he DID want her to marry him didn't he? Other than the fact that the changes in their demeanors from dislike to like was pretty quick, that Leila didn't try to cause any significant tantrums or disruptions to delay her wedding and the obvious fact that something was going to happen to Leila. I mean it should, it was certainly leading up to it. I just didn't enjoy the fact that I was waiting for it going "It's coming, any moment now".

It certainly was not that much of a problem as the other characters had important and significant mysteries to reveal that really covered the above peeves really well.
And that end!!! It was soo good that I was willing to forget all the things I didn't enjoy! And yes I am a bit macabre in situations but that end was just so ... Bittersweet really. I wished it hadn't happened but I also couldn't see it without it. But I really wish there had been an alternate ending. Those of who might read my posts would know what happens to characters that begin to grow close to heart.......

All in all a great read! There's action, adventure, romance and a bit of humour. What more could you need?! I might have given it a 3.5, but it is soooo very close to a 4 . It would have a 3.85 rating if I could do that. But then again I'm a nit-picker so go ahead pick this one up and find out for yourself.

Also check out the giveaways for this book here!

What do the Greek gods do when they're bored? Because they're always bored, so humans are the perfect players in their games.

Aphrodite owns love; she hasn't lost a competition on her turf in over three millennia. Apollo is on a mission to win. He's counting on it to finally get the one woman he's never been able to have. The two gods will choose their human players, and if Aphrodite can't get them together before the clock runs out, Apollo will get his way. And Aphrodite couldn't have that.

Lex and Dean are perfect for each other, they just don't know it yet. Dean is a perpetual bachelor, and a brooding, beautiful rock star. Lex is always with a man, but she'll never fully give herself up. Aphrodite has her work cut out for her, but if she can't make it work, no one can.

The gods have their own drama. Apollo killed Aprhodite's mortal love - they've got beef that's been dragging on for thousands of years. Ares, the douchebag, is forever trying to pick a fight, and trying to get Aphrodite into bed. And Persephone, Aphrodite's best friend, is the one person who Aphrodite shares everything with.

Follow the gods as they fight, laugh, cry, lose love, gain power, and make a mess with humans.

Ooohh. Greek mythology with a sexy modern twist? And that B-E-A-utiful cover! Bring it on I say!

The Greek gods have been here since absolutely forever and are bored. Using mortals as players they hold
competitions against each, the winner receiving a token from the loser. This time it's Apollo and Aphrodite against each other. Apollo picks a male player Dean , beautiful rockstar, bachelor and manwhore. While as Dita chooses Lex , always in a relationship but never in love and  Dean is the one man she needs to avoid. Can Apollo keep them apart long enough and get the one thing he wants most in return or will they inevitably come together? Dita is after all the goddess of love.

This story was actually good! I thoroughly enjoyed reading about the gods and their conversations. Sometimes it felt like they were trying to portray themselves a bit too modern, it was forgiven  they would adapt and not stay in the past forever now would they? So yes they have nicknames, there are references to Facebook, Steve Jobs, Call of Duty etc. We meet sweet Hephaestus (Heff), arrogant Ares, best friend Persophone (Perry), Hades and the others.

I enjoyed the gods far better than the human participants sadly especially Apollo. I've always imagined him far more adaptive and modern (and handsome ;) ) than the other gods.
Dean and Lex with their relationship were good certainly, but not as enjoyable as reading about the gods and their slightly clichéd but nonetheless enjoyable dialogs.

All in all this is more of a light hearted read with a mixture of mythology, love, and some sexy scenes. I enjoyed it thoroughly so pick it up would ya!

WORLDS KEPT THEM APART.

DESTINY BROUGHT THEM TOGETHER.

Aria has lived her whole life in the protected dome of Reverie. Her entire world confined to its spaces, she's never thought to dream of what lies beyond its doors. So when her mother goes missing, Aria knows her chances of surviving in the outer wasteland long enough to find her are slim.

Then Aria meets an outsider named Perry. He's searching for someone too. He's also wild - a savage - but might be her best hope at staying alive.

If they can survive, they are each other's best hope for finding answers.

March read for Young Adult Blogger Book Club. #YABBC

Under the Never Sky is set in the future, a world ravaged by Aether storms scarring the earth. Society has split into two - the Dwellers and the Outsiders. While the Dwellers live safe inside their domes and traverse virtual worlds where there is no danger, no fear, be what you want, experience what you like. The Outsiders are hunters and gatherers living under the Aether and surviving. But the Outsiders have something else, a select few have enhanced senses of sight, smell and sound which helps them to survive and live.

When Aria, a Dweller is exiled from her dome for breaking the rules in search of her mother meets Perry the Outsider, who is on the lookout for someone too. They decide to help each other find the ones they love.

Let's get the things I didn't like out of the way first?

  • Dweller Pods
I wish we knew more about the why, how and what, behind the dweller pods. How did they get there? What happened?
  • Aria
Through majority of the first half Aria was just a mean, whiny, cranky dweller who needed to be taken care of. Yes, I get it. You are bound to be disarrayed when thrown into the desert from your life of comfort. But I would atleast try to look after myself, however pathetic I may have been at it. It seemed like she didn't even try. Oh let's not forget her being mean. But she does get better.

I liked generally everything else in this. There are holes here and there. Some missing bits that will hopefully and most probably be filled in the upcoming books.

And now the good stuff. Gosh there was so much good stuff !

First off.......
  • Perry
Ok dreadlocks are not my type, but i'm willing to ignore that. Vain, not a big talker, great at archery (how is that not hot?) , gruff and initially seemingly mean, which I get. Of course he would hate the dwellers who have it all. Good food, better living conditions, free of illnesses. I love how he warms up to Aria gradually.
  • NO Insta-love (WooHooo!)
I loved the fact the two despised each other, they didn't want to touch the other let alone be in their very presence. Their love is slow, gradually growing with understanding and getting to know the other. Just as it should be.
  • Roar !
I loved this guy. The fun best friend who is an Aud (super-sharp hearing) and can also hear the thoughts of people if he touches them! How awesome is that?
There's loads more to love along with the Aether storms, that threaten the lives of the Outsiders that potentially is the cause of some people developing "super senses", basically a select few who develop enhanced senses which potentially help the tribe in surviving. Read it will you!

On the whole a interesting read that sucks you in and keeps you turning the pages, as soon as Aria stops being annoying that is. Should you pick it up? Most definitely, Yes!
